Action Plan

The primary focus of the action and implementation plan is based on the available budget and budget allocation as contained in the IDP. There is currently insufficient funding available for the implementation of all the projects identified and hence the focus of implementation as follows:

• Planning and implementation of the intermodal hub as part of urban regeneration program

• • Funding provision in IDP – R240m

• Upgrading of Ballito rank to include shelters, seating, and areas for informal trading

• • Funding provision in IDP – R3.5m and R18m

• Continued upgrading of roads, new municipal roads, and maintenance thereof

• • Funding provision in IDP – R34m

The municipality should further aim to plan and implement all list projects in the next 5 years of this plan. The funding requirements for the planning and implementation of the list of projects is discussed in the next section.
